چکیده

The Short Vegetative Phase (SVP) gene is a key regulator for floral transition and development. Although SVP-like genes have been identified characterized in many plant species, their orthologs bamboo not characterized. In this study, one SVP homolog was isolated from lei based on the P. edulis transcriptome database designated as PvSVP2. Phylogenetic analysis showed that PvSVP2 closely related to rice OsMADS47. Expression revealed widely expressed different tissues but significantly vegetative tissues. Moreover, it has higher transcript levels late stages of flower Overexpression Arabidopsis thaliana caused early flowering abnormal morphologies. Further, qRT-PCR regulating time (FT SOC1) development (AP1, AP3 PI) expressions increased transgenic A. lines correlated with expression. subcellular location both onion epidermal cells protoplast localized nucleus cytomembrane. Through yeast two-hybrid BIFC assays, we interacts PvMADS56 (a SOC1 homolog) PvVRN1 (an AP1 homolog). These results suggested may play an essential role process by PvVRN1. Besides, purified obtained recombinant protein prokaryotic inducement. Our data will provide information understand characterization function be beneficial illustration molecular mechanism flowering.

Ectopic Expression of a WRKY Homolog from Glycine soja Alters Flowering Time in Arabidopsis

Flowering is a critical event in the life cycle of plants; the WRKY-type transcription factors are reported to be involved in many developmental processes sunch as trichome development and epicuticular wax loading, but whether they are involved in flowering time regulation is still unknown. Within this study, we provide clear evidence that GsWRKY20, a member of WRKY gene family from wild soybea...

Ectopic expression of an orchid (Oncidium Gower Ramsey) AGL6-like gene promotes flowering by activating flowering time genes in Arabidopsis thaliana.

An AP1/AGL9 group of MADS box gene, OMADS1, with extensive homology to the Arabidopsis AGAMOUS-like 6 gene (AGL6) was characterized from orchid (Oncidium Gower Ramsey). OMADS1 mRNA was detected in apical meristem and in the lip and carpel of flower. Yeast two-hybrid analysis indicated that OMADS1 is able to strongly interact with OMADS3, a TM6-like protein that was involved in flower formation ...

A latitudinal cline in flowering time in Arabidopsis thaliana modulated by the flowering time gene FRIGIDA.

A latitudinal cline in flowering time in accessions of Arabidopsis thaliana has been widely predicted because the environmental cues that promote flowering vary systematically with latitude, but evidence for such clines has been lacking. Here, we report evidence of a significant latitudinal cline in flowering time among 70 Northern European and Mediterranean ecotypes when grown under ecological...

Population genomics of the Arabidopsis thaliana flowering time gene network.

The time to flowering is a key component of the life-history strategy of the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana that varies quantitatively among genotypes. A significant problem for evolutionary and ecological genetics is to understand how natural selection may operate on this ecologically significant trait. Here, we conduct a population genomic study of resequencing data from 52 genes in the flo...

Negative control of Strictisidine synthase like-7 gene on salt stress resistance in Arabidopsis thaliana

Strictosidine synthase-like (SSL) is a group of gene families in the Arabidopsis genome, which whose orthologues in other plants are key enzymes in mono-terpenoid indole-alkaloid biosynthesis pathway. The SSL7 is upregulated upon treatments of Arabidopsis plants with signaling molecules such as SA, methyl jasmonate and ethylene. To find the functional role of the gene, a T-DNA-mediated knockout...
